The Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation actively develops international professional cooperation in the field of state audit. In 2019, the Accounts Chamber assumed the Presidency of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). The exchange of experience at the international level allows the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation to improve the quality of work, participate in the creation of international standards and improve audit methodologies, which ultimately strengthens the potential and authority of the Russian control agency in the world.
In September 2019, the Accounts Chamber assumed the Presidency of INTOSAI and will lead the world's second largest international organization for the next three years. The control agency is also on the board of the Governing Boards of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) and the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI).
Such a multilateral cooperation makes it possible to improve work efficiency of the auditors of the Accounts Chamber, improve the quality of audit and, as a result, spend budget money more effectively.
The Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation actively builds up bilateral relations with the supreme audit bodies of foreign countries for its own strategic development. Among the priority areas of cooperation is the exchange of experience in issues relating to big data, openness and transparency, personnel management, and quality of audits and reports.
