The Department performs external state financial control in the field of transport, road facilities (road funds) and international cooperation.

Principal activities:

The Department monitors federal budget expenditures in the field of transport, road facilities (road funds) and international cooperation, as well as conducts external audits of the budgets of the Union State and the Eurasian Economic Union. In addition, the Department is responsible for analyzing the implementation of commitments under international agreements.

The structural unit monitors the implementation of the state programs "Development of the transport system" and "Foreign policy activities", as well as the results of the national project “Safe and high-quality roads" and the Comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of trunk infrastructure for the period up to 2024.

The Department is responsible for monitoring the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport (Rostransnadzor), the Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviation), the Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor), the Federal Agency for Rail Transport (Roszheldor), the Federal Agency for Sea and Inland Transport (Rosmorrechflot) and the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), as well as JSC Russian Railways and the Russian Highways State Company.

The Department includes the following audit units on:

  • Consolidated analytics.
